Lightbulb Why selling or Buying New Products on Ebay is not always a Good Idea

Greetings,

I wanted to explain to some of our listeners and customers about Ebay's fuzzy math. I'm doing this so you may understand the importance of buying directly from us rather than sifting through endless Ebay pages. Although, you may find used merchandise at a good price on Ebay, new items such as we carry should not be purchased on Ebay. Here's why:

I like making things simple. Besides, the modern attention span isn't long enough to encapsulate a long post. So, here it goes . . .

Why does BBG not sell products on Ebay?

We like saving our customer's money, that's why!!!
To sell on Ebay, we would need to hike our prices up higher than they are in order to cover Ebay's hidden fees. If you would like to see what we're talking about, take a peek at the following links.

Ebay's Fees

Since many of our products are considered in the 'Other' category, we would be charged by Ebay 35 cents just to list each product. THEN, Ebay would get a cut of 12% PLUS charges from Paypal. Need I say more? It's pretty incredible. Now you know why Ebay makes so much money. How do people make money on Ebay is the question.

Ebay has managed to make their service basically Useless for an online web shop. So, before you buy that garden plaque on Ebay, you might want to visit us instead. You will get it for much cheaper and with less of a headache.

Note it is not always profitable or wise to run with the heard!!!

Blessed Be!

For every item, a .35 price hike just for listing the item. Then, Ebay makes 12% off of the final price. On top of that, another .05 added for offering customers the chance at Buying Now without bidding. We haven't even factored in the other costs for adding our store to Ebay. That alone is around $60 bucks. And yes, that cost is factored into the final cost of items. Oh, and be wary of the price of shipping. Yes, shipping. The item we modeled costs you 7.88 + 8.00 shipping. You might find an item that is cheaper on Ebay. But check out their shipping rates. It is a game of numbers; one that often times has the purchaser paying more for the item simply because it is situated over at Ebay. Needless to say, we were not impressed as we like providing the cheapest price possible.

On Ebay, the same item after all the additional fees would cost you around $19.00. Fuzzy math, isn't it. We thought so too! So, please share this with others and welcome them to Blessed Be Gifts. If they are your friend, I'm sure you would like them to partake of cheaper prices.
